Looking for a list of "cute" girls' names? You've found it!
When it comes to naming a girl, there are many ways you can go. Some parents prefer something fancy and feminine, such as Leticia, Lillianna or Juliette. Other parents gravitate toward names that are androgynous and sporty, such as Taylor, Cameron or Chandler. Others prefer something in between, perhaps Rachel, Gillian or Sarah.
Still other parents specifically want a "cute" name for their darling baby girl. Cute names do have a certain appeal, as they have a happy, pleasant connotation and are perfectly suited for baby girls – because, let’s face it, baby girls are undeniably adorable, irresistible and just plain cute.

Think Ahead
Parents are wise, however, to think ahead to their baby girl’s older years. While you can easily imagine how adorable a plump, pink-cheeked toddler named Lulu would be, it’s smart to ask yourself just how fitting such a name would be for a high school student, an MBA candidate, a CEO or a white-haired, cookie-baking grandmother.
Fortunately, there are easy ways to plan your daughter's name so that it will be appropriate throughout the many stages of her life. Many "cute" names are actually nicknames for more formal monikers. In the case of Lulu, you could give your baby girl the name Lucille or Lucia with the understanding that she will go by Lulu. Later in life, she can drop Lulu in favor of her more formal, given name, if she desires. Vivi can actually be Vivienne, Charli can actually be Charlotte -- you get the picture.
Then there are middle names. If you absolutely have your heart set on Coco or Daisy as a given name for your baby, you can always choose something a bit more formal for your daughter's middle name. Most "cute" names are short and sweet, and combine very well with longer middle names. For example, Coco Madeline, Della Elizabeth or Ellie Grace.
Initials are another option. Many professional women choose to go by initials to give themselves a bit of a competitive edge in the business world, whether they have a "cute" name or not.
So, if you love cute names and would like to give one to your baby girl, think ahead a bit and you can easily find a name you love that can be adjusted throughout her life. Or, you can simply plan on her using her "cute" name her entire life. Personally, I think that a white-haired, cookie-baking grandmother named Lulu sounds absolutely precious!

Personally, I think that names should not only fit the child throughout their life, but should also carry a meaning. Hence I'm not a fan of nicknames, but to each their own.
The names I have picked out are very easily shortened, so I may have a problem keeping people from shortening them up but we will see. Who knows they may change by the time the baby comes. The names are Alaina Reagan, Isabella Nicole, and Noelle Alexandria.
Some of those names I find cute, however I might look up more of the meanings, for example Tia means aunt...it's not of English origin but of Spanish. So it's important to look up the meaning, if that is of interest to you.

Thanks also for your comments, Butterfly. I love the names you have picked out. If you don't want them shortened, just politely remind people of your child's real name, and teach your kids to politely correct others as soon as they are able. It worked for my parents, and the nickname so many tried to give me never did stick.

what a great list of names! My girls are Tabitha Ja (pronounced Jay - a family name) and Tamara Jo. Tabitha never wanted a nickname, but Tamara became Tami (and for a while TJ and TJo)My third daughter - that I didn't get to name - is Courtney. Tami is pregnant with her first child and plans on naming a girl Rylin Arabella. My pretend daughter, Tracey, just gave birth to her first daughter (after four boys!!) and named her Anika Marie...

I guess I may be a bit unorthodox in the "baby name" department. When I became pregnant with my son in 2007, before we even knew the gender, we went through the big book of baby names and made a list of the names we loved that had not been on the 100 most popular list in over 50 years. We picked names for a boy and or a girl. My son ended up becoming Giovanni Xavier. My daughter, born June 2011, ended up not having the name we had chosen back then for a girl because of Twilight, and all of the other "Bella/Ella" names out there right now. Instead, she ended up being named Serenity Malia Starr. Serenity because my Dad loved the Serenity prayer, Malia because it is a Hawaiian translation of Mary (my Mom's name) and Starr because my husband and I loved the name, and I love the Beatles (Ringo Starr). It may seem silly to some, but we don't care. I'd rather have unique names than names every child in school is going to have. Both my husband and I went through that in the 80's. Melissa + William.

We never had any girls and never got to use the name we had picked out should we be so blessed. Julie Denise Ballard would have been a beautiful brown eyed Ballard gal whose mother would have been Pearlie Jane. Enjoyed the read and voting up all the way across.
