Coach Poppy: Fun, Colorful Bags, Purses, Wallets, Wristlets and Accessories

I have always loved tluxurious Coach bags, but for me they fell out of favor slightly when the idea of the "it" bag came into popularity several years back. Designers began offering up fashion-forward, unusual, colorful handbags that were meant to be the focal point of a woman's outfit. Suddenly Coach's predictable, conservative, tailored bags in beige and tan didn't look quite so chic anymore, despite their excellent reputation for being luxurious, long lasting and meticulously made.

Coach has responded to the "it" bag trend with the addition of its Poppy line. This line includes brightly colored bags of all sizes featuring graphic floral prints, sequins, grafitti, op-art logos, interesting shapes and lots of eye-catching extras. Coach Poppy has put much interest, excitement and energy back into the Coach brand. All the luxury and quality Coach is known for remains, with the added benefit of fresh, stylish, fashion-forward color and graphics. I never thought I'd use the word "funky" to describe anything from Coach. However, some of the designs in the Coach Poppy lines are just that. Not just limited to handbags, these lines feature wristlets, wallets, keychains, scarves and more. Coach Poppy has also spun off into perfumes and watches, as well.

Because Coach products are so fabulous, fashionable, well made and last for years, they are in high demand. Unfortunately, because they are so desirable and also fairly expensive, this leads to counterfeiting. If you're in the market for a coach bag, wallet or wristlet, or any Coach product for that matter, make certain it is authentic before you purchase it. Of course Coach stores sell their own authentic products, as do retailers such as Dillard's, Macy's, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor and Nordstrom, which are under contract to sell Coach products. Although Amazon.com is not officially under contract to sell Coach merchandise, they have an excellent reputation among thousands of customers.

One clue to help you spot a fake is a drastically reduced price. For example, if the list price on a bag is $398 and the seller is asking $50, you're probably getting a fake instead of a great deal. Street vendors, flea markets and home parites are generally not the places to find authentic Coach merchandise. Remember the old saying and keep in mind that if the deal is too good to be true, it probably is.
